IGI has submitted a label amendment to the EPA for the burrowing rodent use addition. The Agency (EPA) considers a company’s website content related to a product as an extension of the labeling, so any statements, claims, uses, etc. on the web must be consistent with statements, claims, and uses approved on the master label. Inconsistent claims and statements are considered a misbranding violation under FIFRA §12. The burrowing rodent uses have demonstrative effectiveness when tested pursuant to FIFRA Section §172.3, subpart A, and California Title 3, California Code of Regulations (3 CCR) sections 6260, 6262, 6264, and 6266, which allow for experimental testing of new uses which have not yet been federally registered.
